HOW DID SWEATJAM GET STARTED?

About

SweatJam was created in the Late 2000s by professional dancer and choreographer Lucious Thomas,  instructor in Tulsa, OK. SweatJam started out of his wife’s necessity to get back in shape to start dancing again.

Lucious and his wife Elishia are high school sweethearts and have been dancing together ever since. She decided to slow down dance once they started their family, but missed dancing and she hated working out. So, he would dance with her every chance they got and she always lost a crazy amount of weight in a short amount of time, while having fun doing it.

And that’s what led him to starting SweatJam.
